Self Employment v Job

Redundancy after 25 years with one employer was a tough situation to face. Having never been unemployed in my life I had to face many new challenges. Getting an interview was just one challenge along with the actual interview. Facing lots of Job Centre paper work was another challenge along with the challenge of very little in the way of support at the Job Centre. I realised very quickly that I needed to make some decisions  if I was going to continue earning money and get away from paper work and waste of time Job Centre interviews just for £71.00 per week that just does not cover a family to live. I had skills that I used for many years in the training industry. Just because my skills and experience was not required by the employer that made me redundant did not mean they could not be used by either another company or even better by me. I decided to getoncourse with my life and get on course with my career. I decided that I would use my skills and be my own boss. Oh why did I not do this years ago. I can now make my own decisions and put into practice the many things that I felt would improve learning. Wow it's great no one to tell me it won't work.
